Soaked and pressed against the sky
Her eyes they never lie
And Debbie’s still drinking.
Blind as any mother was
The reason’s always gone
But Debbie’s still drinking wine.
Fell in love again
And I could be that friend
I could be raining on her parade.
Storm lit up the sky
Yeah I could be that guy
I could be raining on her parade.
Firm, direct and to the point
I’ll work this out tonight
And Debbie’s still drinking wine.
And I could be the centre of her world
Look outside it’s the system girl.
And I could be the centre of her world
Look outside, it’s the weather turning
Something’s burning.
Cold as any north wind blows
I know it’s breakfast time
And Debbie’s still drinking wine.
Just a beautiful jazzy rap album with buttery smooth flows versed with huge talent. It's not only lovely to the ears, but the lyrics are profound and empowering about the struggles that she faces. zhangtastic
